A Trip Down Memory Lane: 'Dungeon Memoirs'

If you have spent any real time with the dungeon content in B&S Revolution, you’ve undoubtedly got a few battle scars and memories. The 'Sanctuary of the Outcast' is a classic example of collective trauma, mostly thanks to the mid-boss 'Ginga·Minga,' whose mechanics were as confusing as the name implies.

The 'Dungeon Memoirs' event is currently tapping into these nostalgic, often painful, recollections. If you head over to the 'Ongoing Events' section on the official forums, you’ll find tales ranging from desperate fights against 'Jinsoyun' at the Altar of the Floating to lucky drops of the Five-Colored Weapon design in the Altar of Resurrection. It’s a goldmine of shared experiences.

One story, in particular, caught my eye: 'Narutofriend' shared a tale from five years ago. Back in 2020, they encountered a Summoner in the Heroic Yeti Cave, and the struggle to obtain the Gimbap Hat was recounted so vividly that I felt like I had been there grinding right alongside them. The author promised a sequel, so we shall see where this saga goes next.

The event runs from September 9th through September 22nd. Fifty lucky participants who follow the submission guidelines will be rewarded with 500 Black Gemstones. Given the surge in nostalgia, the event is quite crowded, but I suggest you focus more on the memories than the loot.

Q. I can't find the Gemstone Box while fishing.

A player named 'Adul' recently went trap fishing in the Red Dragon Volcano but was left scratching their head when no Gemstone Box appeared. A similar report surfaced on the bug report board from 'Mint Julep,' who claimed their trap yielded nothing.

After a review by GM Soyul, it was confirmed that the items were obtained correctly. Furthermore, other players like 'Pansa' and 'Kkomabeol' pointed out that the rewards are now granted as raw Gemstones rather than boxes or pouches. Both players asking the question seem to be returning veterans who missed a few updates.

The system of receiving rewards as Gemstone Pouches ended in May 2024. A convenience update was implemented to streamline the process by providing the Gemstones directly. It is understandable why returning players would be confused, but please refer to the updated mechanics above.

'Golden Fields Festival' Login Event

GM Harin has prepared the Early Autumn Golden Fields Festival, offering login rewards from September 9th to September 22nd. You will receive growth items every day after lunchtime. This week, we are completing the Guardian Spirit 'Regent Jess.' I had hoped to see the character appear in the Meca Ranking during the two weeks spent crafting this design, but it’s been quiet. Will the Ancient grade fail to replicate the dominance of the old Legendary era? Between the removal of the 'Guardian Beast' feature and the lack of popularity for Regent Jess, I need to rethink my puzzle themes.

The difficulty remains low this week. Unlike other Guardian Spirits, the human shape led to a longer, simpler design. You shouldn't need hints to breeze through this one; just focus on the largest numbers.

High-Performance Ranged 'Archer'

Since its release in September 2021, the Archer has consistently remained a top-tier choice in the Meca Ranking. At the time, the Blade Master was the undisputed favorite, with Force Master, Warrior, and Warlock rounding out the Top 5. With only 11 classes available back then, the meta felt quite different, but the Archer filled a crucial gap for a high-performance ranged class.

The Archer enjoyed about a year of immense popularity, even exceeding a 40% usage rate in Meca Ranking stats. While the release of the 'Ssaulabi' in August 2022—a class specifically designed to counter ranged attacks—dented that popularity, the Archer has held its ground. It remains a firm favorite, consistently ranking 2nd or 3rd. Even as the meta shifts, the Archer's charm remains lethal.
