Look, let's be honest: just when you thought the franchise had exhausted its supply of titan-slaying action, Digital Touch has confirmed that Koei Tecmo Games is bringing us the latest entry in their tactical hunting series, Attack on Titan 3. The title, based on the globally adored anime, is slated for release on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.

Attack on Titan 3 aims to be the definitive compilation of the series, covering the entire narrative arc from start to finish. Development duties are once again in the hands of the veterans over at Omega Force. They are marketing this latest outing with the rather melancholic slogan, 'A beginning for the sake of farewell'.

Expect to face off against the Nine Titans—a first for the series—alongside fresh story beats. The developers have also reworked the scope of the previous entries to ensure players can experience the anime's climax in its entirety. As for the gameplay, the iconic omni-directional mobility gear action has been beefed up to deliver a significantly punchier, faster experience. Plenty of other new mechanics are also in the pipeline.
