The long-teased collaboration between Apex Legends and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has finally had its full details spilled.

The most striking inclusion is the roster of Legends reimagined as Cyberpunk characters. Vantage and Octane step into the roles of protagonists David and Lucy, while Rampart receives a Rebecca-themed skin. Furthermore, you can dress Gibraltar as Luis, Ash as Lizzy Wizzy, and Loba as Panam. A suite of weapon skins for the Wingman, Charge Rifle, Mastiff, L-STAR, P2020, RE-45, R-301, and Kraber are also up for grabs.

A new 'Night City Legends' Wild Card mode is also hitting the servers. This mode introduces two cyberware abilities: 'Sandevistan', which grants rapid dashes and shield regeneration, and 'Blackwall Breach', allowing for teleportation and EMP shield disruption. Much like the source material, overusing cyberware fills a Cybernetic Stress meter; push it too far, and the character descends into a 'Cyberpsycho' state, restricted to melee attacks only.

The E-District map is also getting a Night City makeover for the duration of the event. The aesthetic captures that signature neon-drenched gloom, complete with iconic Arasaka architecture.

The community reaction has been a mixed bag. Some are eager to jump back in, noting how well the atmosphere is captured and even clamouring for an Adam Smasher skin. Others, however, are less than impressed with how Lucy has been translated through the Apex Legends art style, with some players questioning if Lucy has aged or simply doesn't look like the character they remember.

The Apex Legends Cyberpunk collaboration runs from the 14th through to August 4th.
