The Senran Kagura series, well-known for its 'heart-thumping' gameplay, is gearing up for a new installment in Japan. Set three years after the 2017 release of 'Senran Kagura Shinobi Master', this new title features an entirely revamped roster of characters.

Honey Parade Games announced the official title on July 31st and kicked off pre-registrations in Japan. Titled 'Shinobi Nexus Senran Kagura', the game was previously teased as 'Project N' in 2025. The narrative picks up three years post-Shinobi Master, exploring a modern society where the conflict between good and evil ninjas has led to the establishment of 'Shinobi Prohibition Zones'.

The game focuses on three distinct academies, each fielding a variety of characters. The lineup includes the rebellious Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy, the elite Gessen Girls' Academy known for producing top-tier good ninjas, and the progressive Tensho Academy which preaches unity regardless of moral alignment. Alongside the pre-registration launch, the developer unveiled detailed profiles for five characters hailing from Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy.

Players can expect a mix of classic ninpo-fueled combat, the series' hallmark character customization, and a mentor system where you act as a teacher, training students and deepening your bonds through interaction.

Shinobi Nexus Senran Kagura is slated for release on mobile and PC later this year. The PC version will be serviced via DMM Games, with cross-play functionality between platforms confirmed. While pre-registration is currently live on the Japanese Apple App Store and DMM Games, with Google Play to follow, there is no word yet on a domestic release.
